@Fourmidable__ Thanks 😋 We'll see what happens with it though. I've got 6 amazing completed scripts, and only 1 completed film. So maybe this actually happens 10 years from now or maybe I get my budget this year.

I'm writing a new film that's extremely grungey and angsty and gendery and full of great music and vibes and it's called PEEL YOUR FACE OFF

@Fourmidable__ I put this one on the backburner for a while, but I did finally write it and finished the script and most of the music recently! I'm looking for funding for it now and waiting to hear back from a production grant I applied for so fingers crossed 🤞 🤞

"Could transition have saved her?" PEEL YOUR FACE OFF is a found footage film about a burnt out rock star in the late 90s trying to suppress their feelings of gender dysphoria while recording their final album, and the fallout it has on their trans daughter 25 years later.

"No trace of transphobic sensitivity" 1. Rita Skeeter - echoes terf logic trope of a man in a dress "mannish hands, heavily jawed face, very fake nails and hair." 2. Voldemort - trans allegory for medical transition. First murder done in the girls bathroom. "Dead name trope, Tom Riddle goes from handsome man to synthetic monster, body modification gone wrong." Gender essentialism in women's characterization. "Good" girls are masculinized Hermione, Ginny, Luna. "Bad" women are hyper feminine or failed women. Fleur, Cho Chang, Dolores How much more do you need?..

John Lithgow says J.K. Rowling's anti-trans views are "inexplicable" and "people insisted I walk away" from playing Dumbledore in HBO's #HarryPotter but "I chose not to do that." “I take the subject extremely seriously. She has created this amazing canon for young people and it has jumped into the consciousness of the society. It’s about good versus evil, kindness versus cruelty. I find her views ironic and inexplicable. I’ve never met her, she’s not really involved in this production at all. But the people who are, are remarkable. It upsets me when people are opposed to me having anything to do with this. But in ‘Potter’ canon you see no trace of transphobic sensitivity. She’s written this mediation of kindess and acceptance. And Dumbledore is a beautiful role. It was a hard decision. It made me uncomfortable and unhappy that people insisted I walk away from the job. I chose not to do that.” Read more here: variety.com/2026/film/glob…

Apparemment Epstein n'est un problème ni pour la presse française, ni pour la justice. Les victimes ne méritent pas ça. Quant aux influences étrangères sur les élections et les dirigeants politiques français impliqués, rien non plus. Pourquoi ?

actually the whole thing about rowling’s current nastiness is that when you go back through the books, it’s all in there. they’re mean, spiteful stories largely about segregation, the inherent superiority of one group of people, and poverty and ill health as a moral failing.
