@andon_thinking Here’s a different direction. Late 60’s / Early 70’s “easy listening” bandleaders doing instrumental covers of pop songs. Percy Faith, Enoch Light, The Brass Ring, and others. Amazing arrangements and players. Percy Faith’s album “Claire” is particularly funky.

@andon_thinking @emsterling27 Okay, I’m going to in a wildly different direction here. One of my obsessions is the bands of the prolific Enon Kawatani: Gesu no Kiwami Otome, Genie High, Dadaray, and Indigo la End. Every band has a unique sound and he writes and performs with them all concurrently.

@emsterling27 @andon_thinking I’m glad you liked them. Hem, Swan Dive, and Josh Rouse have great back catalogs to explore. We saw Hem live many times in small venues. They have recently re-formed and will be releasing a new album.
