One of the saddest things about the farmers’ IHT debate is that by lying about how many farms will be impacted and banging on about wealthy farmers @RachelReevesMP & @Keir_Starmer have deliberately created devision, why is what I want to know, what was the purpose of this?

The Labour government are trying to frame the inheritance tax on family farms by using the £520m a year raised from this for increased NHS funding. Yet they could find an extra £22bn for the NHS if they didn’t spaff this away on carbon capture technology contracts.

This Labour government seems to be labouring under the massive misapprehension that everyone who sends their kids to private school or runs a farm is stinking rich. They’re not.
