Last week, we launched the new Seed Marketing Report during the SMIA workshop with partners from across the seed sector held in Machakos, Kenya. Today, we are pleased to make the full report publicly available. Developed in partnership with Resourced, the study covers three waves of research (2023–2025) across Kenya and Uganda, exploring how farmers discover, evaluate, and adopt improved maize and bean seed. It unpacks everything from seed sources and barriers to adoption to digital behaviour, social media use, preferred engagement channels, and variety switching trends.
