Excited to share my work with @TetsuHarimoto ! biorxiv.org/content/10.110… In this preprint, we engineered bacteria to sense and grow in specific physiological cues. We see programmed localization in upper or lower GI tract and reduced off-target colonization.

Our graduate students enjoyed teaching local middle school students about tissue engineering of the lungs and regenerative medicine today at @Columbia's #GirlsScienceDay!

Currently at the @Columbia Girls Science Day, sponsored by @WileyGlobal - a day for school girls to get hands on experience in STEM. I was helping run the strawberry DNA extraction (the cloudy stuff in the beaker) experiment. Such a fun day!

We spent an incredible day with @GirlsScienceDa1 at @Columbia this past weekend. It was a day full of hands-on learning with demos and experiments ranging from DNA extraction to engineering prosthetic hands. We can’t wait to see the amazing things these girls do. #GSD2019
