🇺🇦 Here is a hypothetical round 1 2026 Ukrainian Presidential Election map if every single possible candidate received a roughly equal number of votes: pro-Russian Boyko and pro-Ukrainian Budanov advance to the runoff. Boyko's support is noticeably stronger in the west, performing better in the same areas as Viktor Yanukovych. Of course, because of the Russia-Ukraine War, a large portion of votes would come from abroad. Additionally, the four western provinces still reflect 2019 turnout numbers, even though that voter count would realistically be dramatically lower due to Russia occupying parts of those regions. Crimea is officially recognized as Ukrainian land but cannot vote in Ukrainian elections, so it cannot be mapped. Due to the lack of Ukrainian Elections, this is just something for you to play with! If you don't like the simulation methodology, you can manually enter your own results, oblast by oblast.

@GlobalElectSim @TANAKAKAKUEI512 It’s jarring in a good way, unfortunately I don’t think China has the culture to support democracy. The ccp may fall but I really don’t see them ever becoming truly democratic in any living person’s lifetime

Today Colombians vote for President and must choose between maxist tyranny and freedom. Leftist candidate Ivan Cepeda has praised Maduro, Castro, and promised to rewrite the constitution. Polls indicate he will lose and Abelardo de la Espriella will win, but it's not certain.

🇦🇺 The Australian electoral system is facing a major stress test. Under the current setup, the Labor Party is able to secure a near-majority despite winning less than 30% of the first-preference vote. Meanwhile, running a simulation shows that if the One Nation party gains just 5 more percentage points nationally, they would capture an outright majority.

🇬🇧 Now that Andy Burnham is about to become the next Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, here is what I think the next General Election, which could come this year, would look like. We would likely have a Prime Minister Andy Burnham and an Opposition Leader Nigel Farage. PMQs are going to be fantastic. Rupert Lowe might lose his seat to Labour due to a three way split in Great Yarmouth between Restore, Reform, and Tories - a big relief for Nigel, who is apparently panicking as every single party from both directions are ganging up on him.
