
Asian stock markets surged on Monday after the announcement of a deal to end the Iran War.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 jumped 5.5%, while South Korea’s KOSPI rose as much as 5.7%.
Taiwan’s Taiex gained up to 2.7%, Australia’s ASX 200 climbed about 1.5%, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index initially rose around 1% before trimming gains.
U.S. stock futures also advanced, with S&P 500 futures up 1%, Nasdaq futures rising 1.8%, and Dow futures gaining 0.8%.
Meanwhile, Brent crude fell about 4.5%, dropping below $83.40 per barrel as concerns over disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz eased.
