Jimmy Roberts shares an iconic Ben Hogan story. A practice round at Augusta National Golf Club. Ben Hogan hits it to five feet. Claude Harmon hits it in the hole. Walking to the green, Hogan turns and says, “Claude, did you see my shot?”

@flushingitgolf One of the first events I ever watched. Stayed up until 4am in Australia as a 10 year old. Pete Senior also in contention. What a brilliant round. Missed a tiddler on 17 as well but those two shots into 18 under the pump were simply sublime.

I was as intrigued as you are by the PGA Tour using the tag line "March is going to be major" in their Players hype video. I reached out, and a Tour spokesperson said this: "Fans and players have long discussed THE PLAYERS Championship's status as a major. We understand that is not for us to decide. Ultimately it is up to our sport and its fans to recognize what the professionals who play the game already know.” more thoughts in a moment...
