@ChadowskiIsBack I know a lot of movies these days are described this way; but Conclave in particular is painfully some boomer or gen-Xer's therapy session fantasy.

In the movie Conclave, this man, Goffredo Tedesco, is presented as a villain for wanting the Church to fight the Islamification of Europe & the politicization of the Vatican. No skeletons in his closet. No political agenda. Just wants the Church to defend her people and for the cardinals to reject political agendas. Really makes you think.

In America, likelier the “subversive political operative” = the bishop who parrots Democratic talking points, unless the subject = abortion, gay marriage, or transgenderism, in which case the bishop politely pretends the subject doesn’t exist.
El Reconqristador ابو شربل 🇲🇽@crawlings13

This man is actively harming the Church. He is acting not as a shepherd of God's people, but as a subversive political operative. It's actually satanic. His diocese and the entire Church deserve better. He needs to be removed.

@ingelramdecoucy I remember growing up Evangelical, Lindsay Graham had a similar rule. Occasionally I would hear someone criticize said rule and always got suspicious at that type of person.

You know who doesn’t have any accusations of sexual impropriety? You all laughed at ‘ol Mike for refusing to be alone with female staffers, but who’s laughing now?

If Christianity "was for the marginalized", then it just be the slave morality Nietzsche saw in it. But God is no respecter of persons, and does not favor the rich or the poor. Not only that, the marginalization we are discussing is that of SIN, which God in fact, commands to be marginalized. "God and sin no more," Christ said. Not "sin all you want because the fact that some people disapprove of your sin proves you are righteous, somehow." The case of sexual deviance is a good case in point. A great deal of things that were once marginalized have today been normalized: fornication, pornography, sodomy, etc. The LGBTQIA+-÷× movement has worked very hard to de-marginalize deviant sexual behaviors, and this has done exactly what I said in the original post. And of course, contrary to this idiot, there is nothing unChristian about "marginalizing" as such — Christ does not teach Christians not to marginalize, but to do it in the way that accords with God's purposes. One may regard Hell as the Final Marginalization.
Huge Huge@JamesFi47362177

@EveKeneinan Ironic considering you have a cross on your profile and the entire point of the religion was it was for the marginalized. It was a religion that gathered the marginalized dregs of society and told they not only had spiritual value but equal spiritual value to that of kings.

Timely reminders: -The Catholic Church & papacy will outlast all presidents, rulers & nations. -The Left doesn't care about the Catholic Church & the pope. -The Left seeks to redefine Catholicism according to liberal/modernist ideas. -Enemies of the Catholic Church will fail.

“Women’s ordination” only appeals to progressive women over 40 who are power-hungry and want attention. Liberals are horrified that the younger generation of Catholic women are wearing veils, desiring large families, happy with an all-male priesthood.

Nobody wants to say this out loud so I will: Teaching young men that their natural sexual desire is sinful doesn’t make them holy. It makes them socially crippled. Anxious. Ashamed. Completely unprepared for the real world. That was me. For the first decade of my adult life.

Religion stole my entire sexual prime. I didn’t have sex until my wedding night at 23. I didn’t have a real dating life until my divorce at 28. And I’m done pretending that wasn’t a tragedy.
