It's SATS week. A week where staff and students are under enormous pressure. Do we really need these high stakes exams? What are the benefits? As Einstein apparently said, 'If you judge a fish by it's ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid'.

@beyondbehaviour I would have hated it if I had continued with the same teacher who seemed to take great pleasure in humiliating us. I quite enjoyed maths in my younger years but when teachers changed, I hated it and believed I couldn't do it.

@Thinkingschool2 So true! I don't remember all of my teachers but I absolutely remember the one who supported me the most and the one who put me down the most.

As a teacher, consider what you want your students to say about you in 20 years time.

I believe Mental Health and Wellbeing should be at the very core of #Education. It's such a pleasure to be sharing knowledge and resources with organisations who share the same beliefs and values. Receiving feedback like this makes it even more worthwhile :)
