Abdul Azis (45) merupakan salah satu guru honorer yang mengajar di MI Nurul Islam 1, Kamal Muara, Penjaringan, Jakarta Utara. Ia tinggal di kawasan Tegal Alur, Kalideres, Jakarta Barat, dengan jarak tempuh sekitar 5 kilometer dari tempatnya mengajar. Setiap hari, Azis berangkat ke sekolah menggunakan sepeda lipat. Ia juga membonceng putri sulungnya yang bersekolah di tempat yang sama, sehingga aktivitas berangkat dan pulang dilakukan secara bersamaan.
