My husband has ALS. It is a bankrupting disease. HealthWell Foundation provides grants to people with ALS and other diseases to help pay for their prescriptions. My husband was on Radicava which cost $16k/month. He qualifies for Medicaid at 53 because of his diagnosis. He automatically enters catastrophic level for his Medicaid Advantage plan in Jan. If I were to set up a GFM when he dies or we were to win the lottery, my money would go to HealthWell. It is so well run and helps those who need it most.
