As we celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption, a few parishioners gather after Mass to pray before Mary and plant flowers in her honor. It’s always a blessing to extend the spirit of the Magnificat into our daily lives—through our actions, our words, and our devotion.

Today is Holy Name Cathedral Day in Chicago! Ald. Brendan Reilly presented the City Council resolution to our rector, Fr. Greg Sakowicz, at mass today, recognizing our 175th Anniversary as a parish. Join us this Sunday, 11/24 at 12:30pm for the Opening Mass with Cardinal Cupich.

The 175th Anniversary celebration of our founding date of Nov. 18, 1849, begins! The Chicago City Council proclaims Monday, Nov. 18, 2024, as “Holy Name Cathedral Day” in Chicago. Ald. Brendan Reilly will present the city resolution to our rector, Fr. Greg Sakowicz, at noon Mass.

Join us for the celebration of All Saints Day (Nov 1) Mass, a Holy Day of Obligation. The Vigil Mass will be at 5:15pm on Thursday, October 31. We will have four masses on Friday, November 1 at 7:00am, 8:00am, 12:00pm, and 5:15pm.
