We brought together leaders, professionals, and organizations from across the diaspora for inspiring keynotes, panels, networking, and meaningful collaborations. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive—it exceeded expectations and marked a historic milestone for our community. To make the event even more accessible and enjoyable, we've decided to move this year's forum to the fall of 2026 (instead of spring). These Armenian-made tiles originate from Kütahya, the birthplace of our ancestral family. Once a city teeming with Armenian artisans and craftsmen, it was home to Armenian churches and, of course, Armenian ceramics. Since the Armenian Genocide of 1915, perpetrated by the Ottoman Empire, every single trace of that presence has been wiped out. In 1919, our family—alongside the Ohanessian and Karakashian families—was commissioned by the British Mandate of Palestine to renovate the tiles on the Dome of the Rock. Had we not come to Jerusalem to continue and expand our tradition, we, too, would have been eradicated. My father, Neshan Balian Jr., the grandson of Neshan Balian Sr., was the first member of our family to return to Kütahya after more than a century. He, too, found no trace of Armenian presence—destroyed and forgotten, now only etched in the souls of our ancestors who have long since passed.

The 2025 Armenian American Forum was a celebration of culture, connection, and forward-thinking voices. From Armenian wine to big ideas— Nashville won’t forget this one.
