Please, don’t scroll past this post. We are dying. Every day, we catch 6 to 7 rats inside a tent that is only 4.5 meters wide, where 7 people live, including a 4-month-old baby. We don’t know when this war will end, but I’m sure we will die before it ends because of the abandonment from all countries. There are dangerous diseases spreading because of the rats. The rats sleep with us inside the tent, just as they do with many families across Gaza. We have no choice but to stay strong and survive. We are suffering in the worst possible ways here. I am writing this while crying over our situation. Please, I beg you a thousand times, we are not numbers — we are human souls who deserve to live.

This mother already lost two of her children to malnutrition during the famine imposed by the occupation. HELP: chuffed.org/project/help-u… Now she fights to keep her son Mohammad alive - a child living with cerebral palsy and blindness, dangerously thin from prolonged deprivation.
No parent should have to watch their child suffer from hunger. No mother should have to fear that simple food is out of reach. Yet this remains the reality for countless families across Gaza.
On April 28, Translating Falasteen x The Sameer Project distributed food to displaced families at the Girls’ Gaza Shelter in Al-Daraj. We gave
1,650 burgers with tarashi, ketchup, and mayonnaise to internally displaced people sheltering there. We also provided 30 meals to station workers and 40 meals to bakery workers and children at the bakery site in the North. The total cost was $4,545 at this shelter.
In total, 3,000 burger sandwiches were prepared and distributed that day at a total cost of $8,270 after 11% commission. This is a huge expense and unfortunately donations have gone down and we have had to cut back on the number of days our kitchen is open - heartbreaking since so many people are still in need.
