Ametek in Wilmington, MA gets a grade of A+ for giving each of our kids bags of summer supplies containing composition books, colored pencils, sunscreen, flip-flops, a beach towel & a drawstring backpack. Thank you, Ametek, for being loyal friends of our kids!

GRAZIE to the ever-loyal volunteers from @StateStreet who recently visited the kids from our residential program to teach them to make ravioli & pesto from scratch. The kids loved cooking & eating their handiwork. The State Street crew are state-of-the-art teachers!

We are proud of the diversity of our staff and the work we do with the LGBTQ+ community. This year, we have supported young people affirming their gender identity and those coming out to families whose cultural background can sometimes cause misunderstandings. Happy Pride Month!

We will be closed today to honor the Juneteenth federal holiday. Juneteenth -- short for “June Nineteenth” -- marks the day when federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas in 1865 to take control of the state & ensure that all enslaved people be freed.

@UrsulineAcademy donated a truckload of desks for the kids at our Pallotta School. Onasis Lugo Percel & Susan Mitchell unloaded them from the U-Haul into the school. Everyone pitched in to clear out the old desks & lug in the new. What a wonderful gift to cap off the school year!

Spring is busting out all over at IHC, thanks to the down-to-the-earth people from @Deloitte! 20 of them volunteered for the 2nd year in a row. They weeded & planted flowers donated by Deloitte. They played outdoor games with Pallotta School kids & gave MP3 players to others.

Congratulations to IHC alum Diana Dorci, who won the Community Volunteer Award from @BostonChildrens, which resulted in our receiving a $5,000 donation from the hospital. Diana & her siblings came to the Home as children & believe it saved their lives.
