With the Star Fox remake, I wonder when we'll get that Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War remake.... any time now... Then again, I'm scared of it making a bunch of changes I won't like. I'd hope a remake would stay faithful to the original.

Finished reading Osamu Tezuka's Triton of the Sea Honestly, I didn't like it that much. I feel like it's story wasn't well thought-out at times, like Tezuka kept changing his mind with the story's direction. It also felt a bit jarring with it's blend of comedy and serious bits

Star Fox fans getting a surprise announcement of a new game, and seething over the new designs (which I think look perfectly fine, though maybe not the best ever) Meanwhile, an F-Zero fan cries to himself

That feeling when you try to eat something healthier, and buy a less sugar-ey option, and all you can think is "wow, this is bland" will explore ways to improve

So, I'm reading more of Osamu Tezuka's 1969 manga General Onimaru, and later on in the story, he uses purple cloth to disguise himself as "the purple bandit" or something... Is this a reference to something? It feels so deliberate to be a random design

@JSomeCanadian @nzH20eUo3Z95996 if sapphire was pulled from a specific actress that def debunks that rumor that goes around in the english speaking fandom, some people draw sapphire with dark skin in reference to betty boop but the whole "betty boop is black" is itself a false rumor

昔の漫画家さん(主に藤子・F・不二雄先生、手塚治虫先生など)って何であんな斬新なキャラデザを思いつくのか不思議でしかない。どちらかと言うとシンプルなキャラデザなのに記憶に残りやすくて「話は知らないけど見た目は知ってる」ってキャラが殆どな気がする。昭和の漫画家は何を見て育ったんだろう

@nzH20eUo3Z95996 @spi3lzeug Yes. Tezuka grew up heavily inspired by the Takarazuka Revue, and it influenced some of his works. In his early days, he even made short works for the Takarazuka Magazine (Here is an example)
