@Joshmedia Non technical human customer will be the weak link longer than any failure of the AI.

@Joshmedia "Obsolete" as in nobody needs one. "Software developers" one tier up from basic "coders". Not in my career's lifetime. Depends on people who need software being able to coherently describe it to an AI. Since 90% can't describe it to me, I don't see that leap and time soon.

When will AI make human programmers obsolete. Predict the year.

@Joshmedia Some organizations will see eliminating coders, who they view as trainees, as drying up their supply of software engineers and they will resist as long as possible.

@Joshmedia But it depends on the willingness of a higher discipline engineer to use AI over a human assistant.
