FT: Humberston 3-1 OCC
Back to league business for us this morning as a makeshift Humberston side secured a valuable 3 points.
Special mention to Jack Cammy for playing straight from a night shift with a superb display.
Goals - Northy x2, Richo ⚽️
MOTM - Northy 💫

Some clubs simply do not sack their manager when the going gets tough. For me, Liverpool is one of those clubs.
I have supported the club since the back end of the Roy Evans era/start of the Gerard Houllier era.
In that time, the only manager I have felt never "got" the club and who was a bad fit from day one was Roy Hodgson.
This is why I back Arne Slot. He came in, won the league for the first time in five years, and turned a 3rd-or 5th-place team into champions. He has made mistakes this season, and he is still learning (only three years older than Arteta) and will only get better with experience.
I have come to terms with the chaos of this season, and I believe the entire club collectively shoulders some blame for failing for a number of reasons (the coach adjusting to the new prem style, players dropping in levels, and the Sporting directors' poor summer decisions).
Some failures have been in our own hands (performance, results, quality of the rebuild) and some outside our control (tragedy/delayed pre-season/ Newcastle holding Isak hostage/Injury crisis).
I do not buy into the constant negativity, though, because I have seen us play some really good stuff this season, score some fantastic goals when we have been on the ball in the Champions League, bar the PSV game.
It is why I believe that these boys can still pull off something special in Europe and the FA Cup. We have to believe, even if belief feels like delusion, because we are football fans, and delusion is in our blood.

Eni Aluko can’t shout racism, because Ian Wright and other black pundits get heaps of work and are well loved. She can’t shout sexism because Laura Woods and other female pundits get heaps of work and are well loved.
At some point, she just has to accept that she tried a new career, but she’s not very good at it, and she’s very unlikeable.
She should have acknowledged this with dignity and thanked people for the opportunity, instead of whatever this car crash PR run is.

Ah yeah, Alonso.
The guy who forced his way out of the club as a player, chose Madrid over us for management and flopped.
Yeah choose him over the fella that won us the league 👌🏻
