@mtchavez1972 @beauhightowerdn @Riley_Gaines_ See my response above. What happened is NOT ok and I’m not sure how to go about it, but changes and reforms need to be made to the insurance coding system as they have surgical all lumped into one bucket.

It's been 7 months since we had our baby and we're still receiving unexplained hospital bills in the mail. Hardly ever an adequate description of services. Just a QR code to pay online. It feels intentionally confusing and difficult to get answers. We want price transparency.

So many armchair insurance gurus on here. I have zero reason to lie or mislead on this. I posted because what happened is NOT ok!! I received this about a week ago and was stunned. I have confirmed with both the anesthesiologist and insurance this was paid. There needs to be reforms and changes because to me this is borderline fraud taking place. Yes, a colonoscopy and upper GI was performed. Yes, small polyps were removed. But the coding used is the same as a major surgery and they are getting paid an egregious amount that is unacceptable.

I had a colonoscopy and upper GI where they found three very small polyps that were snared and removed. Other than that it was simple and both procedures were less than 30 minutes. I paid a copay of $1,500 which went to the surgical center and $350 to the gastroenterologist. Keep in mind this was last July and I just received a bill from the anesthesiologist that says $122.13. I have not received anything prior yet. Apparently this is past due. Trust me, I would’ve noticed this sooner if I had received it. For less than 30 minutes, actually 25 minutes the anesthesiologist charged my insurance $31,500 and why you ask? Because three tiny polyps turned a routine colonoscopy into what they called a surgical procedure, by using a snare and just simply removing them. No surgical incision was made. They can now charge an ungodly amount and get away with it! I have spoken with my insurance company and was shocked when they said what’s the problem? We paid it. You don’t have to. It made me realize that this is why insurance premiums are unrealistic and co-pays are ever increasing. So after the anesthesiologist received over $31,000 in payment, they are still insisting that I pay my $122.13! I’m at a complete loss for words and feel this has to stop! If I had had a kidney transplant or heart transplant, I would understand this cost. But a 25 minute colonoscopy and upper G.I., you’ve got to be kidding me!

@MeaningfulBuddy @Riley_Gaines_ Yes, yes it was. There is no reason for me to lie about this. I received this about a week ago and have been very vocal to both the anesthesiologist and the insurance as I was absolutely stunned this was paid.

@KLCarpenter @Riley_Gaines_ lol no this isn’t a payment that was made . Anesthesia is literally the specialty that makes the least amount of money relative to the costs of work being done. Usually like 100-300$ for this type of procedure

@paleridden @Riley_Gaines_ The anesthesiologist petitioned itfor the last several months, almost a year, and the insurance did just pay it. I spoke with not only the billing department, but the insurance company, and they both concur that it was indeed paid.

@waschatchsquach @Riley_Gaines_ No, it is not fake. I spoke with both the anesthesiologist as well as the insurance and it was indeed paid. I asked if it was miscoded, but the claim it wast and paid it. I sincerely wish they had negotiated it down because this is absolutely unacceptable.

This was Trump yesterday signing an Executive Order and if you look at his signature compared to others it’s way longer and took him more time. This is showing his cognitive decline and this woman explains it perfectly!

This is crazy American mother wants to teach her son the value of a dollar by showing him how much delivery apps are charging He was about to make his order on Uber Eats, the price is $37.17 His mom drove him to the restaurant, put in the exact same order, and the price was only $20.96 That’s almost double the price for the same order, just because you’re using a delivery app When Uber Eats first launched a delivery fee was only $3 Now in 2026, studies show delivery orders average 80% more expensive than the same pickup order Insanity

Nothing beats a chance encounter with a legend! While driving home to Utah after the rock climbing divisionals in Sacramento, this father-son duo crossed paths with a true monster of the rails: Union Pacific’s Big Boy No. 4014. 🚂💨 Currently on its historic 2026 Coast-to-Coast Tour, this 1.1-million-pound beast is the only operational steam locomotive of its kind left in the world. Seeing those 5'8" wheels in motion puts its 133-foot scale into perspective. A massive piece of history heading back toward the same Wasatch Mountains it was built to conquer. 🏔️ 💪

Lowe’s is offering $250 million in grants to help those who want to learn the trades, electrician, carpenter, etc. Home Depot lets you watch free videos to learn and get certified through them. This is actually paying you to go to school and learn the trades! If you can’t find work, this is a great opportunity to get into the trades in Texas and electrician makes $250,000 a year

Miracles Witnessed While Filming of The Passion of the Christ: ✝️ No Hollywood studio would agree to make The Passion of the Christ, so Mel Gibson decided to create his own production company and fund the entire film himself. While casting the role of Jesus, Mel Gibson warned Jim Caviezel: "Playing Christ will be incredibly difficult. If you do this, you'll likely be rejected by Hollywood." Jim took a day to pray. Then he told Mel: "We have to make it, even if it is difficult. My initials are J.C., and I am 33 years old. The same age as Christ. I didn't realize that until now." Mel paused: "You're really scaring me, you know." And hung up the phone. What followed was the most brutal movie role in Hollywood history. – Caviezel lost 45 pounds – Was struck by lightning twice – Whipped accidentally, leaving a 14-inch scar – Dislocated his shoulder – Suffered pneumonia & hypothermia after hanging the cross for hours in only a loincloth – Filming the crucifixion took 5 weeks – Later required TWO open-heart surgeries due to stress from the role And still, his purpose was clear: "I didn’t want people to see me. I just want them to see Jesus. Conversions will happen through that.” And they did: - Pedro Sarubbi, the actor who played Barabbas, said of Cavezel: “His eyes had no hatred... only mercy and love.” He later converted to Christianity. - Luca Lionello (Judas): Former atheist, converted to Christianity after the film & baptized his children - A Muslim technician on the movie converted to Christianity after the film. Countless millions around the world were converted to Christianity through the film. It grossed $611 million worldwide, becoming the most successful R-rated film in history. But more than that—it changed hearts around the world showing the true pain of Christ’s suffering. Jim Caviezel now proclaims Christ boldly: A role that nearly destroyed him became the one that saved countless others.

Many people don’t know this, but we pay a fee on every airplane ticket purchased that’s supposed to go directly to fund TSA. But 10 years ago, Congress passed bipartisan legislation that diverted the security fee revenue into a general “slush fund”. Everything is a scam. 😩
