Amupitan is not the issue; he is the outcome of what happens when injustice and criminality were allowed to fester and the people at the receiving end have no where to turn to, when the number of people burying their children and relatives keep mounting, where the number of IDP camps continue to grow, when a retired army general publicly complained about collusion. And when the majority of people affected belong to an ethic group and religion. What is Amupitan’s offence, he wrote a legal brief that shed light on what has been happening for years, what should have addressed and justice served, but instead perpetrated. So, I challenge you and others asking for Amupitan’s head to publish the legal brief, let all read it and openly decide if he had done something other than telling the world what had been happening. If you cannot do that, we will rightly conclude that you are persecuting the guy.
