I don’t know the dynamics of Oregon State but sure seems like A LOT is coming out that Tinkle wasn’t supported internally. I know this, Tinkle is a good coach and a great person, will be interesting to see where he goes from here

When you pay a consulting firm to provide real market data on financial / visual benefits of a move up I'd hope a program isn't lighting $$ on fire to be told what they want to hear - that's not due diligence. And I am not in the least bit jealous of a MAC move up 🤣🤣🤣

Talked about this when mega conferences started, at a certain point the biggest schools like Ohio State and Michigan will look around and say “why are we splitting money with Rutgers and Northwestern?”

Here’s some 2025 playoff teams for context: NDSU .881 (119-16) Montana State .706 (94-39) Montana .692 (90-40) Tarleton State .664 (78-40) Villanova .656 (82-43) UC Davis .627 (66-44) Illinois State .603 (76-50) South Dakota .544 (67-56) In conclusion: Sac State was good in the Troy Taylor era (2019-2022). However in Sac State’s entire pre-Taylor history, they’ve only had one season with 9+ wins (1988). In the post-Taylor era they have zero 9+ win seasons. So congrats. You were competitive with the Big Sky from 2019-2022. And if any Hornets want to try and get me or my Aggies: UC Davis has had 16 9+ win seasons before the Taylor era: 2018, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997, 1993, 1986, 1985, 1984, 1983, 1982, 1977, 1974, 1971. We have won 2 since the Taylor era: 2024 and 2025.

It’s interesting. All the hate that I hear about Sac State’s move from FCS to FBS and joining the MAC are coming from A- Non-Sacramento Residents, B- People who have never been to a Sac State football game or C- People who don’t care about or support local college sports. 👀
