Myth is a version of this (the collective consciousness as information storage), so is culture, and undoubtedly religion, the original politics to a certain degree. And books. With the internet, you have access to the stories of countless lives. And yet, we keep going in fucking circles, that's my great frustration. In a sense, the path is clear. What Plato's Laws is about: working from the bottom up in addressing the "monkey problem" as Stuart calls it. Fundamentally, laws is not a legal treatise, but about how to build a robust society. Moving through virtues -> values -> psychomythology -> culture -> religion > politics, not necessarily as an abstract hierarchy like this, but showing how they are interdependent and necessary. Especially since those are the psychotechnologies in their ecosystem that constrain and channel the monkey problem (human nature) Plato's entire framework is built from the bottom up as he understood that this is how the system is built. And even then he understood the nature of nested hierarchies and how Markov blankets communicate and this accounted for reducing the potential of corruption, dysfunction, and systemic entropy.
