.@Andrewvonoeyen rocked the house tonight as soloist in Grieg's Piano Concerto with @TheRenoPhil. I love it when a concerto feels like chamber music. It helped that we could look at one another eye-to-eye during the show--me standing on the podium, him sitting on the piano bench!

Inspiring visit today to Vienna’s Musikverein. A beautiful hall. Among the dozens of composers represented throughout, there is only one woman — Clara Schumann. However, I was thrilled to learn that she has been represented here since the hall opened in 1870!!! #womenmusicians
