One of my best tweets of all time. You can't imagine what this simple tweet has pushed me to.

You are 30 so don't want to go for a 5 yr course because when you finish you will be 35. Whether you go back or not, you will be 35 in 5 yrs

@CoveredInWords The moment you observe the 5 daily solats for a day, at their appropriate times, you'll feel good to reconnect with Allah. Take that step NOW!

I’ve noticed this anomaly in Solah (Congregational prayer) for a long time, and I think now is a good time to bring it up. I’d love to hear people’s opinions and thoughts on it.
1. Whenever the Imam says the first Salam (“Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah" to the right), many people in the congregation don’t wait for him to complete the second Salam (to the left) before saying their own. They start right away after (or even during) his first one.
2. Today, during human prayer, someone said the Iqamah and recited every phrase twice (like the Adhan). I’m more used to most phrases being said once, with only "Qad qamatissalah" repeated.
Alfas and brothers on the TL, over to you! What’s the correct practice? May Allah SWT increase us all in knowledge and Deen. Ameen.

@CoveredInWords Do you think you're as fed up as some others? Please take things easy. Handle what's in your control. For others, leave those to God. May Allah ease your affairs and ours, too. Aamin.

@Phatymarh44 Yes, you can. I've lost count of how many times I started all over again, and again.

I recommend him and other fine scholars like him.
I do not recommend scholars who fight openly and dirty, who abuse one another and make a mess of the Ummah by spreading gossip, blackmailing and slandering their purported opponents.
With scholars like the Imām of Lekki Central Mosque, you will learn the pristine Islam, Sunnah, scholarship and modesty. May Allah bless and preserve him upon goodness. Āmīn.

How to start having original thoughts:
- don't run to claude or chatgpt all the time
- stop scrolling, agreeing, sharing, repeating
- it's ok to have half-formed thoughts
- as soon as you get an idea, write it down immediately
- say i don't know more often
- create more than you consume
- go on walks with no music
- read quran, tafsir, seerah, prophet stories
- read slower
- write for your past, present, and future self
- persuasive isn't the same as true
- record your raw reaction before checking others
- own your opinion even when it goes against "normal"
- consume long-form content on topics unrelated to your niche
Original thinking is a skill you can learn. Run what you consume through your own experience until your fingerprints are all over it.
