But it makes my work as a scholar and writer harder. This doesn’t get me down, however. I do hard for a living. This gets me up into gratitude. The harder my job has become, the more grateful I’ve become for those of you who keep reading and sharing and teaching my banned books––and all banned books. ✊🏿🙏🏾
