I’ve had some Ling players come in my chat and say they hate fighting Steve and I scratch my head cos bro I have 2 moves that will reliably hit AOP out of my whole move list.
This matchup really exposes how poor his key mids are in terms of hitbox and tracking imo

Be Steve Fox T7 Season 1: Has df2 as a homing counter hit launcher, same as in T6. He still wasn’t top tier in Tag 2 even with it. T7 Season 2: Gets the busted Sonic Fang rage drive launcher and shoots to top tier. T7 Season 3: Keeps the same busted Sonic Fang rage drive launcher for some reason. His df2 damage gets reduced because of the Shiro combo, but it still hits hard enough, so he stays top tier. T7 Season 4: Still keeps the same broken Sonic Fang rage drive launcher. His df2 gets nerfed again, losing its homing property, even though characters like Paul, Nina, King, Noctis and others get to keep strong, easy homing, counter hit launchers. T8 Season 1: Steve loses both the df2 counter hit launcher and any kind of launching Sonic Fang. Instead he gets a new stance that barely works. T8 Season 2:
