How does existence exist at all? If it always existed it shouldn't exist according to either a linear or string model because there is no starting point to it, and therefore an infinite period of time must elapse before the present is ever arrived at- which is not feasible according to our understanding of mathematics. If it did not always exist, we end up with a second set of conundrums about uncaused causes, and so forth and have to establish what, outside of our understanding, exists outside of the laws we generally see established in our reality.
