Last night we said goodbye to our wonderful students, but also to @TrinityHallCamb, who have so generously hosted us since 2014. Thank you sincerely for all you have done to support our vision and mission 🙏 We're looking forward to the next chapter at @stjohnscam already!!

Congratulations to our students Alice, Millie, and Adam, who last week completed work experience at @WeilGotshal. They all made the most of an excellent week of legal work experience, networking, pitching, and debating!

Well done to our students, who did an amazing job of engaging with challenging new content. And thank you to all the tutors who gave their time to help deliver this year’s summer school!

Last week we ran the 2024 Big Ideas summer school! This year we offered 43 online sessions on an array of 'big ideas', followed by a new in-person workshop hosted at the University of Leeds.

Thank you to @JohnSnowCollege for a great day in Durham yesterday! Students benefited from admissions workshops and got a taste of life at Durham, with taster sessions in college sports and societies like football, board games, and poker (no actual gambling involved).

We received a very warm welcome at the @RCPhysicians this week as part of our 10th birthday celebrations. We share a connection with Thomas Linacre, who was a founding member and first president of the College. A huge thanks to the RCP team! 🙏

30 of our Reach Higher students had the opportunity to visit Oxford yesterday. We enjoyed tours of Magdalen College and Mansfield College, gaining fascinating insights into life at Oxford and the admissions process. Thank you to Magdalen and Mansfield for an excellent day!

As well as meeting each other and the Linacre team, students enjoyed campus tours and faculty workshops, facilitated by the University of Leeds' amazing student ambassadors. Thank you to @UoL_Contextual for hosting us for what was a lovely day!

On May 29th we launched our 2024 Reach Higher programme at the Welcome Event in Leeds. We had a great day welcoming our new cohort of students to Linacre!

Matthew joined the Reach Higher programme as a student in 2019 before going on to study History and Politics at the University of Cambridge. After graduating, he joined Linacre in 2023 as the Programme Administrator. [4/4]

Having been involved since the start of the Linacre Institute, Polly then worked with the charity as a Development manager, History teacher, and as Programmes Director, guiding Linacre through the pandemic and into the 2020s. [5/5]
