We have received many messages in the last few days strongly regretting our last decision to lower the Staking APY/APR to 0%. Therefore, we would like to briefly reiterate why this decision was made and what's ahead for LOCK. This message will be shared on Twitter, Telegram and Email so that all current staking customers are informed. We have received some messages accusing LOCK or the LOCK team of malicious behavior. This is definitely inappropriate and we strongly reject such behavior. LOCK has put a lot of effort into the security from the very beginning to ensure that customer funds are secure to the greatest extent possible. The security concept has always worked as expected and there have never been any unwanted transactions. We are very proud of this. Among other things, the security concept is designed in such way that no single employee ever has access to the customer funds, which is elementary for a custody set-up. In the last few days we have received some messages that we should simply send back the customer funds. This process is exactly not possible, because the customer funds are extremely highly protected. The security concept can of course be adapted, but this cannot be done in a short time-frame. Currently, the DeFiChain is facing a big update on the DMC and therefore it makes sense for LOCK to wait for this update first. Once the update is done, LOCK will re-evaluate the new conditions around the services on DeFiChain and then make another decision on how LOCK's product offering should look like in the future. LOCK has always tried to offer the best product for its users and has done so over a long period of time. We are very sorry that it is no longer possible to continue to offer this product. We would have liked to continue offering it and would do so, but the service does not generate enough revenue to cover the running costs. LOCK cannot and will not finance other projects, but uses the funds exclusively to ensure its secure operation. Of course, withdrawals are possible at any time. Thank you very much. Your LOCK Team

Dear LOCK users, We see that many of our users have remained loyal to our service over the past few months despite declining DFI prices, and have deposited large amounts of DFI into our Staking program. While it is great to see that many users are using our service, we regret to report that at current DFI prices, it is not economically viable for LOCK to continue offering the service at these fee rates. While our revenue is 5.55% of DFI Rewards, our costs of running Masternodes remain in EUR due to server infrastructure and staff costs. So the revenue has decreased over the last couple of months as the DFI price has decreased, but our costs have remained the same. That is why, it doesn't make sense for us to offer this service under these conditions. Therefore we have to announce that we will lower the Staking Rewards to 0% from tomorrow onwards until the DFI price recovers. Deposits and withdrawals continue to work reliably as usual. DFX discontinues commitment to the DeFiChain DFX is holistically discontinuing its commitment to DeFiChain. This includes, in addition to the communication already suspended for months, the DFX DeFiChain Wallet already removed from the App Stores and, in particular, as of now, the FIAT On-Ramp and, probably as of December 31, 2023, the Fiat Off-Ramp. DeFiChain was a project for us with the clear goal of building a truly decentralized community and blockchain. We honestly believed in this vision and tried our best to work towards it. Unfortunately, in our opinion, we have not achieved this goal and currently see no chance of being able to achieve it. Besides Cake, there are only LOCK and DFX on the base layer and unfortunately no other significant companies that have successfully built something. This, in our opinion, makes the vision of a truly decentralized DeFi Blockchain with a diverse ecosystem not realistic. This decision follows a long decision process and has not been easy for the team. The DeFiChain was the base on which the team had found each other. With a lot of hard work and dedication, a very good product was created for our customers. The exclusively positive feedback on DFX's service has always been our driving force and we are very grateful for the trust placed in us. As previously communicated, DFX continues to focus on creating an outstanding buying and selling experience as a payment provider for the cryptospace, focusing on Bitcoin, Lightning and Ethereum, as well as Layer 2 solutions. The DFX DeFiChain wallet will continue to be available to all existing users who have already installed the app, as it is a non-custodial app controlled by the user. DFX's off-ramp service is expected to remain enabled through the end of the year. On-ramp for DeFiChain will be disabled effective immediately. Any purchases made will be automatically returned. LOCK, as an independent company, is not affected by this decision. Customers of LOCK can still access their funds at any time without DFX using JellyWallet. DFX does not have and has never had any business relationship with CakeDeFi. Please note that neither DFX nor DFX employees would ever ask for your seed phrase. Never share this with a third party.
