As New Yorkers struggle to afford their energy bills & corporate utilities raise rates, rolling back our state climate laws is unacceptable. While federal protections crumble, NY must continue to lead on climate & defend the CLCPA. Read more in @QNS: qns.com/2026/04/new-yoโ€ฆ

"Fully implementing the Build Public Renewables Act with 15GW of publicly owned renewable energy projects will supercharge our transition away from fossil fuels and lower utility bills through the REACH Program." Thank you for your leadership @DianaforQueens!

NYC-DSA wins. For years the NY Board of Elections persecuted us politically, forcing us to raise over $212k for a bogus fine. The appeals court ruled (5-0) that we did nothing wrong. Now we'll have $250k more to keep fighting for working class politics. nytimes.com/2026/04/10/nyrโ€ฆ

NY's wealthiest received a $12b federal tax break from Donald Trump via HR1, more than double the fiscal gap of NYC. You could close NYC's budget gap by raising state/local personal income taxes on them and they would *still* be paying less in taxes than they did last year.

Claire Valdez is a union organizer who worked minimum-wage fast food jobs and understands firsthand how this economy fails working people. In my view, Congress needs more voices like Claire, who come from America's working class.

Three things made me a democratic socialist: low-wage jobs, the labor movement, and the campaigns of @BernieSanders. His political revolution changed my life โ€” and showed millions of Americans what's possible when working people organize. I am so grateful for his support.

The members of @32BJSEIU keep our city running. Building service workers, doormen, security guards, and airport workers โ€” these are hard-working New Yorkers who deserve good pay and working conditions. I will always stand with them, both in Albany and on the picket line.

Manhattan getting in on the fun with @32BJSEIU and @NYHTC backing our boy, @illapaNYC ๐Ÿ’ช NYC-DSA ๐Ÿค organized labor, you might call it the magic combination ๐Ÿช„โœจ

New York is a union town, and Iโ€™m so proud to have the first union endorsement in this race โ€” @NYHTC! Union hotels are the lifeblood of Manhattanโ€™s tourist industry, and the economic anchor for tens of thousands of hard-working families in our city.

Itโ€™s April 2, and Gov Hochul has already delayed the budget. New Yorkers are clear they want her to tax the rich. We want her to grow a backbone and stand up to Trump. Weโ€™re keeping up the pressure until we get a budget that works for the working class.

Trumpโ€™s healthcare cuts are about to boot nearly half a million people off New Yorkโ€™s public Essential Plan insurance. Governor Hochul could stop it by taxing the rich. Did you receive a letter? We want to hear from you. Go to bit.ly/fund-care to share your story.

Itโ€™s not surprising that a millionaire like @SpeakerMenin thinks the solution to our budget crisis is for every working class New Yorker to struggle with less and less. Her proposed budget betrays working class New Yorkers who overwhelmingly support taxing the rich.

32BJ is also endorsing several more Assembly and council candidates, including DSA-backed Illapa Sairitupac, @illapaNYC who @NYHTC is also backing, per @C_Sommerfeldt. If a candidate is getting DSA *and* big unions, you can consider the race a lock.

Steve Fulop doesnโ€™t care about the economy, he wants the 10 wealthiest New Yorkers to keep making $2 million/hr. When the people who built this city canโ€™t afford it, the economy is BROKEN. The rich need to pay what they owe to fund a state that works for the working class.
Steven Fulop@StevenFulop

The loudest voices this weekend at rallies arenโ€™t the only ones that matter. 30+ organizations representing millions of workers, small businesses, and employers across New York are united: support the Governor + reject the sweeping FY27 tax increases. The economy is fragile - if you care about affordability, more taxes isnโ€™t the answer.
