How is the Digimon fandom doing in your country? In my country - Vietnam - for many different reasons, Digimon slowly became more like a forgotten childhood memory than a growing fandom. Back then, the anime was even broadcast on TV under the translated title “The Adventure of the Monsters” instead of “Digimon,” so many kids grew up loving the series without even knowing what franchise it actually was. Over time, inconsistent broadcasts, weak marketing, confusing translations, and nostalgia-focused fans made the fandom become smaller and quieter compared to many other anime communities. Meanwhile, international fans kept Digimon alive through fanart, memes, discussions, videos, tournaments, and community events. Honestly, I don’t think Digimon was ever “too niche” to succeed in Vietnam. It just never really had the chance to fully grow here. #digimon #digimonvietnam
