Reading your comments, it looks like we all had those classes. I’ll never understand why they stopped teaching them. I think that was the beginning of the change in our country. We need to bring those classes back so our children will be self sufficient and educated in more than just reading and writing. It’s part of what made America great, diverse and different from other countries.

When I was going to HS, we had those classes! It was called Shop, Home Eco., etc. We learned how to take care of everything. Cooking, shopping, fixing cars, learning to drive, sewing, and we had to prove it to pass the course. Who else had these classes too?
