I rejoined X to har crypto news, I ended up with US politics. Crypto leaders voted in Trump for legislative clarity, but ended up world chaos. Good job. Also, Russia doesn’t need to dismantle NATO, US is doing it for them. Good job.

The easy ability to call @grok on twitter is probably the biggest thing after community notes that has been positive for the truth-friendliness of this platform. The fact that you don't see ahead of time how grok will respond is key here - I've seen many situations where someone calls on grok expecting their crazy political belief to be confirmed and grok comes along and rugs them.

Let me get this straight: someone fat fingered an 80,000 BTC sale in an illiquid overnight session and we plunged 3% to $115,000? Are you - in fact - kidding me?

@MaxCallisto @FringeViews @cuysheffield "at today's rates", "depend on the network", "unless a layer of fees are added", "you can always switch wallet" (until you can't) These are the very definition of not being stable and subject to terms of service changes.

1/ There has been a lot of discussion lately about the potential use case of stablecoins for retail payments at merchants. Given every stablecoin transaction is publicly visible today, what does the onchain data show?

@FringeViews @cuysheffield Stablecoin companies earn directly from the treasuries they hold (~4.5% at today’s rate cf visa 1-3%). Transmission of stables depend on the network, unless a layer of fees are added to the wallet. In those cases, you can always switch wallet.

You can’t just build a platform and expect users. If you are building infrastructure, you must also build the first revolutionary app on top of it. Only you know how to best use your tools. Others will follow. Roads don’t get built without specific commercial interests.

@DefiIgnas “But I want to back stablecoins that reward their early supporters. Ethena, Maker, Frax, etc.” I can say confidently $FRAX tokenholders & users will benefit from the same flows & regulatory clarity as Circle stock very soon due to our new roadmap & GENIUS compliant $frxUSD. 🤝

NGL, I feel a bit salty about $CRCL's success. Crypto natives, and especially DeFi users, were early USDC adopters. We form the core user base. Crypto is amazing because it rewards early adopters: from BTC, ETH, to multiple airdrops. Yet, the upside from Circle's success leaves onchain users sidelined. We got no base yield from USDC, no stocks, no airdrop... anything. Sure, we can buy $CRCL with TradFi accounts but it siphons money from crypto to TradFi. Still, Circle's success is great for crypto adoption as payments become more popular and stablecoin supply grows. This would boost onchain transaction numbers and thus valuations for underlying blockchains. But I want to back stablecoins that reward their early supporters. Ethena, Maker, Frax, etc. Not Tether or Circle.

When people ask how we get real yield on BTC and in DeFi, the answer is simple: tokenization. But bringing that yield from real-world assets on-chain isn’t possible without compliant infrastructure. Primary issuance and custody require a regulatory foundation - which is exactly why DeFi-native yield products are now lining up to white-label Chintai. News on this coming soon 😉

I think BTC lending is going to be the biggest emerging narrative for DeFi lending protocols over the next 12-18 months. Every single family office and high networth Individual I've spoken with in recent weeks have said they are all looking for 4-8% APY on their BTC holdings. Some interesting liquid opportunities will emerge from this.

Trump tariffs China. Stops importing. Starts factories in US. Realised he has just deported immigrants, legal and illegal. No production. Americans buy stuff at higher prices.

When a direct report isn't delivering, the first question you should ask yourself is actually "what am I failing as a manager?" You can't expect someone to perform well if you're failing to give them the context, objectives and means they need to deliver.

People are missing the point with stocks onchain. Sure, it's great to have currently listed stocks as tokens. But the real opportunity is making it possible for 1,000x more stocks to be public - onchain - in the first place.

please understand that this is blockchain's real super power many have lost sight of it and just view a blockchain as a fun casino no, it's about unbreachable long-term commitments only Ethereum ecosystem truly understands this & lives by it
_gabrielShapir0@lex_node

I do worry that if/when regimes change, the BTC strategic reserve will be dumped ETH would make a better reserve asset because the US Gov could trustlessly commit via smart contract not to sell for 100+ years *while still getting onchain yield*

i can kind of get the Europe stuff but ngl i don’t understand why we are fighting with Canada of all countries, nor what we possibly have to gain from it seems like keeping your bordering countries unarmed is generally a good thing, especially when they share no borders with anyone else
