Our work ranges from multi-million-pound healthcare infrastructure projects, to delivering essential life-saving equipment (such as neonatal resuscitation kits) transported directly where they are needed – even in personal luggage when required.

Medical Aid International, established over 20 years ago, is a social enterprise dedicated to delivering context-appropriate, sustainable medical equipment tailored to the unique needs of low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), as well as disaster relief and conflict zones.

As part of the project, and to further facilitate these improvements to patient care, we are shipping a variety of surgical instruments, as well as linen and gowns alongside the microscope. Many thanks to our warehouse team and the local carpenter for doing such a great job!

A recent project of ours involves carefully shipping an operating microscope to Nepal. From the photos you can see the crate taking shape and being packed to ensure its safe arrival.

One of the many positives of working at Medical Aid International is the huge variety and scope of our projects. We work with a wide range of organisations and charities, both large and small, covering all aspects of healthcare equipment.

Access to the right surgical equipment can mean the difference between years of suffering and a restored life. We are proud to support the global effort to ensure that no woman is left to live with this preventable and treatable condition.

We have already supplied hundreds of sets globally. Alongside these instrument kits, we also help equip hospitals with essential equipment for operating theatres, maternity wards, and other critical areas, strengthening the healthcare systems needed to treat and prevent fistulas.

Each year, thousands of women suffer from obstetric fistula, a devastating childbirth injury caused by prolonged obstructed labour without access to timely medical care. The condition often leaves women incontinent: facing stigma, isolation, and exclusion from their communities.

Supplied as part of this project is an autoclave; no doubt the programme resources we’ve supplied (such as the comprehensive professional toolkit show), as well as the knowledge from the course, will assist in keeping it and other hospital equipment maintained!
