EXCLUSIVE: Watch the first trailer for Samuel Abrahams' 'Lady' 🎬 In keeping with our status as the independent voice of culture, Far Out can exclusively reveal the first trailer for co-writer and director Samuel Abrahams' upcoming feature film, Lady. The Bafta-nominated filmmaker's satirical mockumentary premiered to enthusiastic reviews and widespread acclaim at the 2025 edition of the BFI London Film Festival, and it will be released in cinemas in the United Kingdom and Ireland on July 3rd, 2026, through MetFilm Distribution (@MetFilmDistrib). Lady, which Abrahams penned alongside Miranda Campbell Bowling, stars Fleabag and The Ballad of Wallis Island's Sian Clifford in the lead role as Lady Isabella, a lonely, narcissistic aristocrat who hoodwinks a struggling director into filming her every move. The filmmaker, played by How to Build a Girl and Fool Me Once's Laurie Kynaston, soon discovers he's been lured to her palatial Ravenhyde Hall estate under false pretences; he'd been promised a high-profile commissioned job, only to discover that he's actually documenting Isabella's involvement in a regional talent show. However, her desperation to reclaim the spotlight takes a surreal turn when the titular lady literally starts turning invisible. A unique combination of offbeat comedy, mockumentary, magical realism, outright surrealism, and satire, Abrahams' influences for Lady stretch far and wide. As well as previously citing Groundhog Day and Being John Malkovich as "essentially a jumping-off point" for his feature-length debut, the director was also inspired by YouTube videos and arguably the most beloved bad movie ever made. "I got lost down a YouTube rabbit hole and then stumbled across the first video post of someone who clearly was aspiring to be an influencer, but hadn't got an audience," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "It was really intriguing, because every single decision that she had made in the making of the video was just brilliantly off." Also starring Juliet Cowan and Olisa Odele, and produced by Stewart le Maréchal and Anna Mohr-Pietsch for MetFilm Production, Lady will arrive in cinemas on July 3rd.
