I am excited to be able to share the first paper from my PhD research with the planetary science community! This paper reports the detection of apatite in lunar ferroan anorthosites, allowing for direct measurement of volatiles in the lunar magma ocean! #lunarvolatiles #FAN
Nature Astronomy@NatureAstronomy

Isotopic analysis of an apatite mineral in the lunar meteorite Arabian Peninsula 007, dating from 4467–4540 million years ago, indicates very early fractionation of volatiles and a very volatile-rich lunar crust. Hayden (@MiniMoonRocks) et al.: nature.com/articles/s4155…

NASA has announced plans for a Moon base, which is incredibly exciting! What is needed to live for an extended time on the Moon? Check out this video by the Royal Society where we discuss the work being done across the globe to make this a reality! youtu.be/z_m0Prsht2k?si…

Writing this paper was a significant undertaking, especially as I was navigating recovery from traumatic brain injuries throughout the process. I am incredibly grateful to all of my co-authors for their support and encouragement! #planetaryscience #artemis #lunarscience

I am so pleased to share that my latest paper on the lunar meteorite NWA 12593 and its surprising chlorine isotopes has now been published in a GSL Special Publication all about early career contributions to planetary science! Check it out: lyellcollection.org/doi/full/10.11…

Launch delayed 'til March due to hydrogen leaks, a balky hatch, need to launch a crew to Space Station, and geometry with the Moon. Next opportunities: March 6, 7, 8, 9, 11. For the familes & friends it's a big midwinter disruption of plans. For the Artemis crew & @NASA it's safety and another month of training and preparation to get it all right. The Moon will patiently wait. (photo NASA KSC)

NASA concluded the Artemis II wet dress rehearsal earlier this morning. To give teams time to analyze the data and prepare for a second wet dress rehearsal, NASA is now targeting March for the earliest possible launch opportunity (no earlier than March 6).

February’s Full Moon, also called Snow Moon, will be lighting up the winter sky tonight. Even the coldest nights can be spectacular. ❄️ And while you're looking up, remember: The Moon is about to get some company. Artemis II is coming very soon. 📷: @KatelynBeecroft

‘’Why go back to the Moon? Apollo already did it.’’ Artemis is about new technologies, staying, exploring, and learning more. And this time, it’s an international effort. Canada is part of this journey too, with astronauts, robotics, and science. asc-csa.gc.ca/eng/astronomy/…
