Mollywood Times is messy and indulgent. But it is also ambitious and provocative, led by a solid turn by Naslen. Liked it, although not blown away by it. And, yes, it's not like that film about filmmaking with characters wearing fake wigs and uttering corny af, dramatic lines.

Whatever mistakes they have made, and they have made quite a few, you have to admire Ajit Agarkar's selection committee for being ruthless, regardless of player reputation.

@Adityakrsaha Ishanth Sharma was kicked out of the Test side. That seems more unfair than these players not getting a fairless Test or series. I think if you ask all those players, they would say, 'You either pick or drop me altogether. We don't want any favours from you, BCCI.'

@Adityakrsaha It's fair enough for a team game. Ganguly retired as he felt he was treated unfairly by his domestic team. Kumble announced retirement midway a series, as did MS Dhoni. Nobody except SRT got one. What's more unfair is not picking certain players, like Shreyas and Shami in Test.

BCCI is so ruthless, man. They really dropped a T20WC winning Captain immediately from the whole squad itself and not just the captaincy like Surya could've at least played vs Ireland as his farewell series but it seems his T20I career is done.

I can't believe that Bhuvaneshwar Kumar is not part of India's T20I team. Poor from the team management.

One thing that Tendulkar and Lara have that none of the other greats from my era, except for Joe Root for a large part and peak Ricky Ponting, is that they won't disappoint the audience for too long. I slept in to watch Kane Williamson bat, but he disappointed me once again.
