Life-changing news for families in @SouthwestMiddl1. Today, I joined Mayor Allan Mayhew and @NFTCtelecom to announce their major broadband, high-speed Internet project that will better connect our local communities!

NFTC is bringing Pure Fibre Internet to Glencoe in August! Thanks to @SouthwestMiddl1 Mayor Mayhew, council and Minister @MonteMcNaughton for joining us today for this special announcement and their support in bringing fibre-to-the-home to Glencoe!

Construction has begun, with full deployment planned over the next 12 months. The first phase includes Silver Beach and residences along the shoreline of Kashagawigamog Lake, with wireless service coming online in June 2021.

NFTC is expanding our high-speed fibre network in Haliburton. Over 5 km of new fibre will be deployed, servicing up to 500 more homes with high-speed fibre-to-the-home and NFTC’s newly deployed wireless services.
