My mama is at a very senior position at Oracle, Bengaluru, and what he told me today honestly broke my heart, he said the situation is really bad, people he personally knows, hardworking, talented, 15+ years in the company, just terminated like that, and it’s not stopping, today it’s Oracle, tomorrow it’ll be some other company (he even named a few), all this because of increasing AI takeover, and the worst part is they can’t even do anything about it, his WhatsApp and mail are now filled with job requests, people asking for help, referrals, anything… share price is up, sure, but at what cost ? Gave their life to one company, replaced in weeks.

There was an open position at my workplace and I informed my friend who was job hunting. He is well qualified for that position, he brought in his CV in less than 24 hours and since the HR was my guy I told her to ensure my guy's cv got to the boss on top and I asked the HR for the sample of questions to be asked since she was typing them. He was invited with 9 other people and when he went in he nailed every question effortlessly. Everyone was impressed and we were pretty sure he got the job. Today,lo and behold,we had a new staff: a young lady,elegantly dressed and she wasn't even part of the candidates interviewed

A decade ago, one of my followers shared this with me. He was writing from Australia. He said that in Australia, some Indians work in restaurants while paying cash to consultancies, which then run payrolls for IT jobs on their behalf. There was also a Telugu movie called Chitakayala Ravi that portrayed life in Australia in a similar way. Now, I feel like I am seeing a comparable reality in America. Sara recently visited an H-1B worker running a food truck business, and it raises questions—whether his employer might also be running a separate payroll in IT. Hard to say for sure.

A man who has never been laid off in his life just went on a podcast and told everyone who has that they should be thankful. Easy to say when your company is valued at $18 billion and your product is the one replacing them. What about Sarah in data entry in Columbus who just found out her role was automated in a company-wide email at 6 AM? She has two kids and a car payment. She is not starting a business. What about Marcus in logistics in Memphis who got a calendar invite titled "Workforce Update" and walked out of a Zoom call without a job? He is not building a startup. He is updating his resume for the third time in two years. 330,000 people lost their jobs in Q1 2026. 3,600 per day. 55% of the companies that cut them cited AI as the reason. And the CEO of an AI company went on a podcast and called it a glorious future. It is not a glorious future if you are the one getting the email.

Millions of H1Bs just like this; all utterly refuting: 1. “We need this sub-American talent!” Not even H1B cheerleaders would argue against the reality that all of these jobs could be done much better by Americans. 2. “There are only 85,000 annually!” This whole class of H1Bs is literally unlimited & has no cap whatsoever. And even the supposedly Group isn’t capped, and then none of that even includes their dependents who are all given Work visas and put on a direct path to citizenship with them. 3. “They are all under-paid slave labor who can’t escape their servitude!” Maybe 1/2 of H1Bs are still used to depress wages at the lower end; specifically only because that allows them to evict Americans from entry-level jobs, and therefore completely fill the whole market with their Indian mafia. The other 1/2 includes the highest paid people in America - including H1B CEOs like Microsoft H1B CEO Satya Nadella and Google H1B CEO Sundar Pichai; who are under no obligation whatsoever to hire Americans. H1B CEOs, VPs, Directors, line managers, recruiters - and just whoever feels like it are firing Americans by the 10,000-30,000 at a go; to then immediately directly replace with Indians - right in front of your eyes … and in front of your congressman’s eyes … with no apologies, no investigations, punishment, and not even the hint of ending the program destroying America’s middle class, career ladder. And they are under no pressure whatsoever to underpay their own Indian network. These same overt racist managers are putting tens of billions of dollars into trying to push AI over to India (working with the new head of the federal AI department, also an H1B, and Trump appointee); and personally worth hundreds of millions or billions of dollars. Are you joking that the H1B is “indentured servitude”?

This is the kind of software engineering job does not require any kind of high end, super talent to perform. Any experienced software engineer or data scientist is qualified. There are 10s of thousands of unemployed American IT workers with the experience to do this job. Why do we have H-1B tech workers at all given all the layoffs in tech over the past couple of years? Hundreds of thousands of Americans have been laid off but the onslaught of foreign tech workers continue to flood in and get jobs that are set aside for them. What the hell is going on?
