Jeff Bezos says the Moon is a gift from the universe. Elon says SpaceX will shift its focus from Mars to the Moon. Gigawatt-scale data centers in space are becoming inevitable — and the Moon looks like the perfect logistics hub.

Jeff Bezos: “Thinking small is a self-fulfilling prophecy” Bezos is asked where he gets the confidence to even attempt to build companies of such massive scale, like Amazon and Blue Origin. He responds: “I think it’s generally human nature to overestimate risk and underestimate opportunity. And so I think entrepreneurs in general would be well-advised to try and bias against that. The risks are probably not as big as you perceive, and the opportunities may be bigger than you perceive… You say it’s confidence, but maybe I’m just accepting that human bias and trying to compensate against it. The Blue Moon MK1 flight vehicle that will land near Shackleton crater. We’ll soon be doing fully integrated checkout tests. At over 26 feet tall (8 meters), it’s smaller than our MK2 human lander but larger than the historic Apollo lander.
