Lydia Monyepao @LydiaMonyepao has become the first female CEO of the South African 🇿🇦 Football Association. The former Banyana Banyana midfielder and team manager who has recently been the SAFA Chief Operations Officer replaces Tebogo Motlanthe.

It is with a deep sense of loss and sadness that we mourn the passing of our friend and colleague; former NBA player and executive Lance Blanks who passed away on Wednesday, May 3 in Dallas, Texas. For the last 15 years he has worked with us to grow NBA Africa and launch the BAL. Among many other roes Lance led the on air commentary team during the historic inaugural season in 2021 and spent many years coaching and mentoring at Basketball Without Borders in Africa. A devoted father to two daughters, a grandfather, a son, a colleague a friend and a brother. Lance, your legacy will live on in all of us.

Rest in Peace Lance Blanks. I greatly appreciated his kindness and dedication to the game, and the opportunity to learn from him. My deepest sympathies to his family, who he carried with him proudly in his travels. 💔🕊️

Lance Blanks, former NBA player player and executive who worked as an ESPN analyst, passed away yesterday in Dallas, according to a family statement. The former Phoenix Suns general manager was 56 years old and was most recently a Los Angeles Clippers scout.
