Illinois lawmakers are currently debating how much of your money to spend on the new @ChicagoBears stadium infrastructure. But, as usual, it gets even worse: They are also potentially sneaking free tickets and luxury skybox access for themselves into the deal. Taxpayers definitely should not be forced to subsidize a billionaire's NFL stadium, let alone buy VIP passes for the politicians negotiating the deal. @GovPritzker must absolutely veto any bill that includes stadium perks for lawmakers.

ILLINOIS Get out at midterms and vote big! Tell this state we will not put our tax dollars to illegal immigrants over the American taxpayers! Enough! Let's send these Crooks home!
Mary Miller@Miller_Congress

Illinois Democrats just passed a bill to make it cheaper for illegal aliens to attend college than it is for out-of-state American citizens. They truly never miss a chance to put Americans last. Here are the names of those who voted for the bill:

.@NickShirley If thereโ€™s one state that needs your work, itโ€™s Illinois. The most corrupt in the nation and collapsing fiscally. We need your help. Iโ€™ve been fighting it for years: ๐Ÿ† 2010 National Watchdog Award (Sam Adams Alliance) ๐Ÿ” Built Local Transparency Project @IllinoisPolicy (1,000+ govt sites audited) ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Advisor to @GovRauner who pushed anti-corruption reforms (blocked by Democrats) ๐Ÿ“œ Wrote transparency and anti-corruption bills that mostly go nowhere ๐Ÿšจ Now running a watchdog program @afpIllinois, building county-level teams What needs exposing right now: โฐ Illinois is ~775 days late on its annual financial report. Worst in America. โš–๏ธ Leads the nation in federal corruption convictions, yet state/local prosecutions are rare. ๐Ÿ“‰ Auditor General reports expose problems year after year, but almost nothing happens as a result. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ157% increase in the gas tax since 2019, but not even a 1% improvement in roads according to USDOT. ๐Ÿ’ฐ Companies in Pritzkerโ€™s blind trust tied to $20B+ in state contracts. ๐Ÿจ Pritzker family-owned Hyatt (McCormick Place) received hundreds of millions in subsidies + tax breaks. ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ Christian Mitchellโ€”appointed by Pritzker to the McPier board and now his Lt. Gov pickโ€”voted to give Hyatt additional benefits. ๐Ÿ’ธ ~$5B in COVID-era fraud and improper payments, few convictions. Pritzker has spent $500M+ of his own money on campaignsโ€”more than any governor in U.S. historyโ€”building his political machine. Illinois suffers. Highest taxes. Worst fiscal condition. Most corruption. 13 straight years dead last in bond ratingโ€”the longest streak in U.S. history. The worst-run state in American history. Thatโ€™s the model behind Pritzkerโ€™s โ€œProject 2029โ€ agenda he wants to export nationwide. Pritzker is the biggest challenge yet. Expose itโ€”and rewrite Illinoisโ€™ futureโ€ฆmaybe Americaโ€™s. Illinois is ready. @NickShirley, are you?

Letโ€™s start with good ole J.B. Pritzker. He likes to see himself in the spotlight, so letโ€™s up the wattage on that and take a look at whatโ€™s there. Pritzker is a $๐Ÿ‘.๐Ÿ— ๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐จ๐ง Hyatt hotel heir who wants you to believe he turned Illinois around. Before he launches his next political vanity project, every American deserves to see what he actually did to the fifth-largest state in the union. ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐“๐จ๐ข๐ฅ๐ž๐ญ ๐“๐š๐ฑ ๐’๐œ๐ก๐ž๐ฆ๐ž Before he was governor, Pritzker bought a $๐Ÿ‘.๐Ÿ• ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง next door to his Gold Coast home in Chicago. In 2015, he had ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐ญ๐จ๐ข๐ฅ๐ž๐ญ๐ฌ ๐ซ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ž๐ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ so the Cook County assessor would classify it as โ€œuninhabitableโ€ โ€” dropping the assessed value from $๐Ÿ”.๐Ÿ‘ ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ญ๐จ $๐Ÿ.๐Ÿ ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐จ๐ง (Cook County Inspector General). The inspector general called it a โ€œ๐˜ด๐˜ค๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฆ๐˜ง๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜ถ๐˜ฅโ€ taxpayers. Total savings from the scheme: $๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ,๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ in property tax refunds and reductions (Fox 32 Chicago). He repaid it. Federal investigators later opened a criminal probe into the tax appeals (Illinois Policy Institute). No charges were filed โ€” but the man who would go on to lecture Illinoisans about paying their โ€œfair shareโ€ literally removed toilets from a mansion to dodge his own property taxes. ๐๐จ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐„๐ฑ๐จ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ Since 2000, Illinois has lost a net ๐Ÿ.๐Ÿ” ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ to domestic outmigration (IRS). Under Pritzker alone, the bleeding accelerated. IRS data for 2022 shows ๐Ÿ–๐Ÿ•,๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ๐Ÿ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ ๐ฅ๐ž๐Ÿ๐ญ in a single year, taking $๐Ÿ—.๐Ÿ— ๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ข๐ง ๐š๐๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ž with them (IRS Migration Data). Its pension systems are funded at just ๐Ÿ“๐ŸŽ.๐Ÿ–% โ€” the lowest funding ratio in America. Unfunded liabilities as a share of GDP stand at ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ% โ€” by far the worst figure in the nation (Americans for Prosperity). And Pritzkerโ€™s pension โ€œreformโ€? Heโ€™s sticking to a plan that wonโ€™t fully fund the systems until ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ“ (Capitol News Illinois). Thatโ€™s not a fix. Shocking Breaking News โ€“ Illinois Legal Victory Increases Accessibility to Voter Registration Records The Illinois Voter Reference Foundation (IVRF) recently secured a significant legal victory regarding the accessibility of voter registration records. Following a series of legal challenges, a federal court ruled that the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA)โ€”specifically its "Public Disclosure Provision"โ€”overrides state-level privacy restrictions that previously blocked the full release of these rolls. Key Details of the Ruling The core of the dispute was whether Illinois could withhold specific data fields (like birth dates) and restrict how the data is used (such as prohibiting it from being posted online). โ€ขPublic Access Mandate: The court found that the NVRA requires states to make all records concerning "the implementation of programs and activities conducted for the purpose of ensuring the accuracy and currency of official lists of eligible voters" available for public inspection. โ€ขPreemption of State Law: The ruling established that federal disclosure requirements take precedence over Illinois state laws that had limited access to "official" political entities or restricted the data to view-only formats. โ€ขTransparency vs. Privacy: While the state argued that releasing birth dates and full registration history posed a privacy risk, the court determined that such data is necessary for the public to independently verify the integrity of the voter rolls. What This Means Moving Forward As a result of this ruling: โ€ขIndependent Audits: This provides a pathway for third-party organizations to conduct large-scale data analysis on voter "oscillations," registration trends, or potential inaccuracies without the previous redaction hurdles. โ€ขBroader Implications: This Illinois decision mirrors similar recent rulings in other states (like Pennsylvania), reinforcing a national trend toward treating voter rolls as fully public federal records under the NVRA. Follow @unite4Freedom to follow this topic. This ruling means data is more available to the public and states that have subscribed to unreasonable pricing for data access may have to change their policies. We will continue to follow this ruling as it is tested.

MAJOR ELECTION ALERT: THE SCOTUS SHOWDOWN BEGINS A massive development at the Supreme Court yesterday could fundamentally change how the 2026 General Election is conducted. On Monday, March 23, SCOTUS heard oral arguments in Watson v. RNC - a case that may end "grace periods" for mail-in ballots nationwide. Here is what you need to know: The Core Conflict: Receipt vs. Postmark Currently, 14 states (including Illinois and Mississippi) count ballots that arrive after Election Day, as long as they are postmarked on time. โ€ขThe Challenge: The RNC argues federal law mandates a single "Election Day." โ€ขThe Logic: If it isn't in the hands of officials by the time polls close on Tuesday, it shouldn't count. The Courtโ€™s Lean The conservative majority appeared highly skeptical of these extended windows. Justices suggested that "Election Day" implies the entire act of votingโ€”including the receipt of the ballotโ€”must be finalized by that date. The Potential Impact for 2026 If the Court strikes down these laws: โ€ขImmediate Invalidation: "Grace periods" in over a dozen states could vanish overnight. โ€ขThe Certification Date Impact: Washington State with its 21 days or Illinoisโ€™ current 14-day window would be eliminated. This has a huge impact on certification schedules. โ€ขThe Deadline: A final decision is expected by late June/early July 2026. The Bottom Line: This would go into effect just months before the November midterms. Tens of thousands of ballots that arrive on Wednesday or Thursdayโ€”even with a valid postmarkโ€”could be disqualified. โ€ƒ THE "ELECTION DAY" STANDARD While some are concerned about the impact on military and overseas voters, here is why a hard receipt deadline is a win for transparency and common sense: Certainty Over Chaos โ€ขThe "Election Day" Mandate: Federal law establishes a single day for the election. Arguments at the Supreme Court highlighted that an election isn't "done" until the ballot is in the box. โ€ขStopping the "Slow Count": Eliminating weeks long grace periods ensures that we have results on election nightโ€”not weeks later. This restores public trust by preventing the "shifting totals" that occur long after the polls have closed. Protecting the Military Vote Through Personal Responsibility โ€ขEarly Action: Our service members are the most disciplined individuals on earth. Just as they meet strict military deadlines every day, they are more than capable of requesting and mailing their ballots earlier to ensure they arrive by Tuesday. โ€ขThe Universal Truth: No matter where a deadline is setโ€”whether itโ€™s Tuesday, Friday, or two weeks laterโ€”there will always be a risk of missing it. Moving the finish line back doesn't solve the problem; it only delays the results. โ€ขPlanning for Success: A firm deadline provides a clear "mission objective." By knowing the ballot must be received by Tuesday, voters can plan accordingly, ensuring their voice is heard without holding up the entire nation's tally. The Road to 2026 With a SCOTUS decision expected by July 2026, states will have plenty of time to educate voters. The message is simple: Vote on or before election day, and letโ€™s get back to knowing who won on Election Night. Big thank you to the @USSupremeCourtโฉ
