@NikkiSSmith Brighton College Vietnam. Loving it and say...unless I have to, I can't see myself going back to UK. It felt a bit miserable when I went a few weeks ago and far too expensive!

@DeputyGrocott You should see it here where we have school security and practically no crime. Four plastic boxes OUTSIDE - phones get dropped in, they sit there all day, and are collected on the way out. Never lost one yet.

Some of the mobile phone guidance seems to assume about 4 pupils have a phone in school. ‘Hand them in at the start of the day and collect them at the end’ In some schools that’s well over 1000 pupils all handing phones in. That’s not going to be a quick job!

Coursework belonged in a gentler time. In the era of the internet and AI, cheating is trivially easy. In the era of grade pressure, it becomes a massive drain on teaching time and a stick to beat teachers with. I don't see any good way to bring it back.
