Do you need closure? 💌 Not having “closure” from someone who deeply hurt you feels unbearable sometimes, I know. But the truth is, the answer you're looking for was in how they treated you. That's the answer. There's nothing that they could say or do to reverse it and they don't hold some sort of magical key to your healing like you think they do. They hurt you. They won’t be the one to heal you. The closure you need is in accepting that sometimes people do horrible, fucked up, shocking and self-serving things, leave us totally and utterly devastated/betrayed and they just keep on living despite our shock/horror/confusion. We’re left to pick up the pieces, all while being barely able to function. I know. It's disgusting and it’s unfair but it's also incredibly unfair to yourself to wait for someone to give you “closure” and continue to delay your healing process. They've given you closure when they didn't give a fuck about your feelings and were okay with losing you. They gave you closure when their actions said “fuck you.” That's the answer and that's what you need to accept. Talking to them again will hurt you more than heal you. Trust me, I have been there. And you’ll wish you left it alone. The closure you’re looking for? It’s in realizing that you are a GOOD person and you have so much love to give. You gave it to the wrong person but guess what? WHO HASN’T? Join the club! 🤷‍♀️ You really cared so you really tried. It didn’t work because it wasn’t meant to. Close the door and lock it. Their words would only confuse, frustrate and deeply disappoint you further. So disappointed that you can feel it in your bones. Cut the poison out of your life and don’t ever invite them back into your life to infect you some more. Close it. Closed. One last thing. Do you even WANT to communicate with someone so cruel, so cold, so despicable and so self serving? WHY????? FUCK NO. The actual love of your life wouldn’t be able to FATHOM ever hurting you like that. They’d be incapable of it. You did not lose something special, you lost something dangerous to your mental health. Fuck them, their worthless apologies and their hollow reasons. You don’t need to know why. You don’t need anything from them. Let them go spread their misery elsewhere. It’s time to stop fantasizing about “just one more conversation” with a literal piece of shit.
