I caught NOPE when it came out and thought it was really, really good, but I’m rewatching it for the first time on this flight and am increasingly convinced it’s a masterpiece.

@ZackMast @luke_winkie Good point. Also reinforces Don’s arc that season and his “I want to build something of my own” speech, leading to him starting SCDP. Turned out to be futile for him to attempt to fulfill the legacy of other people so he starts looking more internally in S4.

We need to bring back 27-episode television seasons. I'm tired of the eight episodes seasons where everything matters. There's an episode of The OC where Ryan decides he wants to play soccer and it's never mentioned again. I love that. More TV episodes shouldn't matter.

@luke_winkie I think Connie was also very genuine, and “the moon” meant he wanted something authentic and inspiring from Don that represented the ambition he thought they shared. But Don was unable to access it because he saw himself as an impostor, and his pitch was slick and commercial.

They get close to this euphoria in Mad Men because I'm still not exactly sure what I was supposed to take away from the Connie Hilton arc.

Fairly disappointed. It's a pretty cool car, but other than the gull-wing doors and rear window vents, it doesn't evoke the original much at all. Props for putting the 0-88 acceleration stats on the site tho.

Well this is awesome. Hope Will Wheaton gets added to the list too. Seems like he fits in perfectly as Picard’s surrogate son. …kinda feels like I’m whining about not having enough cherries on a free surprise ice cream sundae, tho. This kicks ass.
