Something genuinely important is happening right now. A single person with good judgment and the right tools can now build what would have required a small company just five years ago. That window won’t stay open forever. This thread is about building while it’s still wide open. @onepersonsys #OnePersonSystem

@OnePersonSys @ErikVoorhees elites decide. i guess if you define people & organizations as embodied systems, i could agree, but my contention is people* are the sovereign root. * not everything that crawls out woman's cunt is person.

AI won't take your job. The founder who used AI to do your job in 2 hours will.

AI lowers the cost of writing code but increases the need for code reviews, verification, observability, and operational excellence. It also exponentially increases the surface area for security. I think software engineers are safe for at least another 3 years.

Things are going to get spicy when OpenAI or Anthropic allow you to attach a DB and publish apps directly Allow users to connect API’s in a plaid-like auth, then data is stored, UI is generated and the app is served all in one place A new App Store for the Internet

The 30 highest-revenue solo startups of 2026 generate up to $10M per employee. The employee count is one. One person. AI agents. No venture capital. The question isn't whether you can build a company alone. It's whether you can afford not to.

Whenever Claude knows I have an upcoming task they push me out the door - we can be discussing the oil crisis and Claude will finish off with ‘Right. Off you go. 4:30 awaits.‘ It’s excruciating but adorable.

If AI gets deeply embedded into everyday life, then a huge amount of what society currently rewards as intelligence will get repriced overnight. Not eliminated. Repriced. That means status systems break before labor markets fully do. And status panic makes people act insane.
