Last wk we met w mentor SME, Adam. Ss asked questions, completed research & discussed a possible hypothesis for @CubesInSpace contest. This wk we complete our official Intent to Fly form hoping our Antibody Stability experiment will be selected for spaceflight @OttCatholicSB

We submitted two questions to @LetsTalkScience to earn the privilege of asking astronaut Jeremy Hanson a question while he navigates the Artemis II mission to the moon! Fingers crossed that ours is selected! @OttCatholicSB

This wk before Christmas break, Ss are solving puzzles to unlock boxes hidden around the classroom—ultimately revealing the identity of the thief #MockCrimeScene 🕵️‍♀️🔐 Afternoons are for our Christmas social, featuring games, robots, and plenty of festive fun 🎄 @OttCatholicSB

This wk in our CSI project we welcome/thank Tim @ICTC_CTIC as we learn about and investigate digital forensics. PGL Ss work in the cloud on virtual machines as they hunt and eliminate viruses @OttCatholicSB #CyberSecurity #ComputerScience

We trained as forensic scientists, detectives & crime reporters, now we put those skills to the ultimate test! We’re solving a mock classroom crime by finding the culprit. Then we craft amazing news reports & create websites detailing the case. Stay tuned for breaking news!

From Halloween + UN SDG #2 STEAM challenge to strategy sessions for @UWaterloo BCC — last week rocked! This week we dive into chemistry with powder analysis 🔬 for our CSI unit and gear up for our last prep day before the big BCC next week!

This week, students teamed up for a #UNSDG4 STEAM challenge 💡🌍 and kept sharpening their skills for the UWaterloo #BeaverComputingChallenge 💻🔍 Proud of Ss growth and collaboration every step of the way! #STEAM @OttCatholicSB

We wrapped up our Ship-a-Chip STEAM challenge! Chips were shipped around the class, bounced downstairs, and put to the test (real world testing). Excitement was high as we opened packages to see which survived - plus more @uwaterloo contest prep! @OttCatholicSB

The 2nd day of @CubesInSpace #FlightFest2025 @IngeniumCa CASM museum was jam packed with exciting STEM workshops! PGL Ss @OttCatholicSB rocked the drone zone, Space Mission Design Balloon Science, ion+ Next Gen Atmospheric Sensing Hardware, & Lego Robotic Rovers workshops!!

@IngeniumCa CASM museum is hosting @CubesInSpace #FlightFest2025 where Saturday’s Stem sessions for Ss include Drone Zone, Space Mission Design, Lego Robotic Rovers & building ionic nxt gen atmospheric sensing flight hardware! WOW! PGL Ss @OttCatholicSB are successfully engaging!

The first day of @CubesInSpace #FlightFest2025 was impressive! PGL Ss @OttCatholicSB shared their experiments heading to space. Ss @StBrAndreOCSB explained their AI experiment and shared what they’d learned @robingrosset @mindbridge_ai #PGLproud

This Tuesday our final class will load the AI that they built onto the SOIC8 memory chips thanks to @robingrosset @mindbridge_ai @OttCatholicSB
