J. Cole scoops up fans to ride around and listen to his new album, The Fall-Off.
On Wednesday (Feb. 11), the North Carolina rapper put out a message on X saying he was in Silver Springs, Md., looking for fans who wanted to cruise in his Honda Civic and peep the new LP.
"I got new speakers for this," Coe typed. "Please be in the vacinity of silver springs, ima come pick you up with ib, then we can go scoop 1 more person, then we press play. First 2 people I pick up will listen to disc 29 with us. Next 2 people will listen to disc 39...Lemme know."
Cole quickly got willing participants and, sure enough, kept true to his word. Passengers later shared video of them riding around with Cole bumping The Fall-Off.
Cole has been on a grassroots promo run for the new album, where he has been driving around to different cities selling a promting the album literally from the trunk of his car. The new LP is projected to move between 260,000 and 300,000 units in its first week.
