A woman opened up about her Long Covid nightmare in a comment on Facebook.
She had a cluster of grand mal seizures for the first time in her entire life.
Underwent a brain biopsy that revealed Covid in her brain.
That was 2 years ago.
Today she is living with brain atrophy and shrinkage and doctors have given her zero answers, no treatments, and no medication at all.
The only reply she got?!
Someone asking if she got the covid shot!!
This is what so many people with Long Covid go through every single day.
Serious lasting damage met with trolling and dismissal instead of real help.
It is completely unacceptable.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!
Those with Long Covid deserve compassion, understanding, and actual medical support.
They deserve research that leads to real treatments!! They deserve to be believed and not disrespected!!
We are sick of it!!!

Captured over Fairbanks, Alaska, this is one of those rare moments where science and imagination collide.
What looks like a glowing, winged figure in the sky is actually an intense auroral display - shaped entirely by the invisible forces of Earth's magnetic field.
Auroras form when charged particles from the Sun collide with gases high above our planet. But the colors here tell a deeper story.

“I had Covid and I’m fine”, is a statement I hear a lot. Unfortunately it doesn’t account for the hidden/delayed damage Covid causes.
Some other dangerous viruses have minimal or no symptoms during the infection phase but cause major damage later.
HIV can have no symptoms upon infection, for years, but lead to AIDS, HPV can have no symptoms, and lead to cancer.
Perceived absence of symptoms or damage in the acute phase is not a safety net or a reason to feel comfortable catching Covid repeatedly.
Avoid Covid.

This is an unethically misleading study with findings easily explained by residual confounding. Some health systems and patients have thorough record keeping. Others don't. All sorts of variables will correlate (infections, cancers, anything else tracked in medical records).

3 years after infection, women who had COVID have higher risk of pre-cancerous & invasive HPV-related cancers. Invasive cancer risk increased by 67% for cervical, 131% for vaginal, 98% for vulvar, 92% for anal, & 78% for oropharyngeal cancer. link.springer.com/article/10.100… #LongCovid
